About Las Vegas High School

Founded in 1905, Las Vegas High School is the oldest high school in the city. Originally located downtown, its historic Art-Deco building (now home to the Las Vegas Academy) still stands as a reminder of its legacy. Today, LVHS sits at the base of Frenchman Mountain and serves a diverse student body on the east side of Las Vegas.

With over a century of tradition, LVHS is known for academic rigor, school spirit, and community involvement. From the long-standing “Bone Game” football rivalry to celebrated achievements in academics, athletics, and the arts, the school continues to shape well-rounded students ready for success.

About the Las Vegas High School Band

The Las Vegas High School Band is a cornerstone of Wildcat pride, offering students opportunities in marching band, concert ensembles, jazz, and color guard. Led by Mr. Kody Euteneier, the band program focuses on musical excellence, teamwork, and personal growth.

LVHS Bands regularly perform at football games, parades, and festivals, and have earned Superior ratings at district events. Many students are selected for Nevada All-State ensembles, showcasing their individual talent and dedication.

Above all, the LVHS Band is a place where students grow as leaders, musicians, and community ambassadors — representing their school with heart, discipline, and pride.
